On my last birthday, in a moment when I can only guess that I was all jacked up on  chocolate cupcakes, and on being the one in the crown, I decided—and even worse, went ahead and told everybody—that I was going to publish a blog post once a week, every week of my 52nd year. So now you know: I love birthdays, chocolate cupcakes, and number games. I love writing, too.
